Day 99 - Swaziland

After spending a couple of days in Jo'burg we rented a car and drove to Kingdom of Swaziland. Swaziland is awesome - it's a lot poorer than South Africa, but it never had apartheid, and you can feel it right away. There's no racial tension, crime rate is pretty low, and people aren't afraid of each other. Plus, the weather is always great.

Swaziland is known for its dirt-cheap crafts. They have a lot of the same things you see in Cape Town - beads, masks, wooden sculptures, and some more. There are a lot of soap stone sculptures and carvings that are really cool.

We woke up pretty early and went to the market in Mbabane (the capital). After being sufficiently crafted out, we drove to the other side of the country for dinner.

An adventure on the way back amounted to trying and failing to find Khoi rock art.
