Day 87 - Kirstenbosch
We went to the Botanical Garden today (Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden) which is supposedly the biggest botanical garden in Africa. I've been thinking about coming here since I got to Cape Town, but then I read that the best time to come is in August since that's the very beginning of spring, and everything is blooming. Well, July 29th is not quite August, but the place was still amazing. It's huge, very well maintained, and utterly beautiful.
Of course, it's hard to get to without a car ($40 cab ride is not an option for most Capetonians) and the entrance fee is also quite high by local standards. I wonder who the intended audience is.
