Day 4 - Long Street
I went for a walk along Long Street today as it was a crisp wintery day of about 75 degrees. Long Street is full of bars, restaurants, backpacker places, artsy shops - all of which are closed on Sundays. As it turns out, it isn't all that long - the whole Cape Town is probably walkable in a few hours.
Rats
There are rats in the Company's Garden. I wasn't sure at first how to react to that. But they don't really seem out of place. They are not those dirty nasty sickly garbage rats you see in New York or Moscow. Instead, they are fat well-groomed respectable rats, the same color as squirrels. As a matter of fact, they coexist quite nicely with squirrels and differ only in shape. I think I can be OK with them...
